Gelles-Cole

Sandi Gelles-Cole, founder and President of Gelles-Cole Literary Enterprises has acquired, edited and collaborated on many best-selling books in hardcover, mass market and trade paperbacks.
Her editorial agency was founded in September of
1983. Since then, Ms. Gelles-Cole has worked with
authors and their projects which include Alan
Dershowitz’s first novel, The Advocate's Devil
(Warner Books); Christiane Northrup’s Women's
Bodies, Women's Wisdom: The Mind/Body
Connection and Its Effect on Women's Health Issues
(Bantam Books), considered a classic in the field,
now in its second edition; Fashionably Late
(Harper Collins) written by Olivia Goldsmith, author
of First Wives Club; Superstar (Crown), Victoria Gotti’s novel of
psychological suspense; Anna Salter’s Shiny Water
(Pocket Books), a first novel of psychological
suspense acquired under a four book contract, three
books bought sight unseen; and April Smith’s
critically acclaimed North of Montana
(Knopf).

and Do Unto Others by Rabbi Abraham J.

include I'll Be Watching You by Victoria Gotti (Crown Publishing Group), and
Home Court Advantage, by Rita (Mrs. Patrick) Ewing and Crystal (Mrs. Robert) Anthony McCreary.
Ms. Gelles-Cole began her publishing career in 1973
with a degree from Northeastern University and a
post as editorial assistant to the Executive Editor
of the David McKay Company. After advancing to the
position of Senior Editor, she moved from McKay to
Dutton/NAL. Ms. Gelles-Cole left NAL to help found
Rawson Associates, publisher of such bestsellers as
Eat To Win and Barbara Seamans Women
and the Crisis in Sex Hormones. There she discovered and produced titles that include
Games Mother Never Taught You by Betty Lehan Harragan, which has celebrated its twentieth year in print. Ms. Gelles-Cole then joined Dell Publishing (now part of the Random House Group) as Senior Acquisitions Editor for Dell/Delacorte and Dell Trade Paperback, where she acquired and edited major properties, including ten of Danielle Steels phenomenally successful titles.
Sandi has spoken on the subject of authors working with independent editors/ghost writers before such groups as The American Society of Journalists and Authors; the Mid-Atlantic Association of American Booksellers; the Oklahoma Writers Federation; The Cape Cod Writers Conference; Avila College; The University of Houston, and the Florida Writers Association.
